Verizon and Tracfone Unveil Exciting Discounts for Eligible Customers

Posted on 10 May 2025

Verizon and its prepaid service provider, Tracfone, have recently introduced exclusive discounts for military personnel in the United States, effective throughout May. These special offers include various discounts and gift cards aimed at honoring those who serve the nation.

Beginning May 8, Tracfone will provide a 10 percent discount on its Unlimited Talk and Text plans, excluding only the $15 plan. This offer is accessible exclusively to military personnel who can confirm their eligibility through a secure ID.me validation on the carrier’s website.

Discounts are available to active duty military, retirees, veterans, current or former Guard and reserve members, and Gold Star family members. Importantly, the discounts apply to both new and existing customers.

To take advantage of these offers, military members need to go through a few simple steps. First, they must verify their military status by signing into ID.me.

Next, they should select an eligible plan priced at $20 per month or more. Once that is done, the military discount will be automatically applied to their monthly payment.

In addition to Tracfone’s discounts, Verizon is offering several other incentives this month. New customers who switch to Verizon can receive a $200 gift card.

Moreover, Verizon provides a 12 percent discount on mobile perks that accompany its plans. For the military community during National Military Appreciation Month, the carrier is also offering the Fios 300 Mbps plan for $45 per month with Auto Pay enabled, along with savings of $20 to $40 on Unlimited Welcome plans in a Mobile + Home Bundle.

Furthermore, military personnel can enjoy a 10 percent discount on Verizon’s accessories purchased in-store, and a substantial 25 percent discount for online purchases. These offers reflect Verizon’s commitment to supporting military members and their families.
