New Leak Hints at Enhanced Camera Features for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 Models

Posted on 13 June 2025

Samsung is preparing to unveil its next generation of foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, at an Unpacked event potentially taking place next month in New York City. As the launch approaches, new leaks have emerged suggesting significant enhancements, particularly with the camera systems of these devices. A notable upgrade appears to be the introduction of the ProVisual Engine, a set of AI-driven tools aimed at enhancing both photography and videography.

This technology was first introduced in the Galaxy S24 series and will be featured in the Galaxy S25 series following the foldable release. The ProVisual Engine is designed to assist users—both amateurs and professionals—in capturing and optimizing their shots more effectively. The enhancements promised include improved image output, enhanced digital zoom capabilities, and increased video stability.

With these upgrades, users can expect sharper images and smoother video recordings. This shift towards AI-enhanced photography is certainly an exciting development for photography enthusiasts. Additionally, there are speculations regarding a comprehensive camera overhaul for the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Beyond the expected triple rear camera setup and two selfie cameras, it is suggested that the primary sensor may receive an upgrade to a 200 MP sensor, like the one found in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is likely to retain its existing camera configuration, featuring a 50 MP main sensor and a 12 MP ultrawide sensor, alongside a 10 MP selfie camera. Both models are anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, promising strong performance.

Lastly, Samsung is positioning the Fold 7 as its thinnest and lightest foldable yet. With a thickness of 9mm, it’s just slightly bulkier than competitors, making it a noteworthy consideration for those interested in purchasing a foldable device. If you’re contemplating a purchase now, it might be wise to wait for the official release of these next-gen models.
