The launch date for the highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3) has been officially announced. It will be unveiled on July 1, 2025, at 6:00 PM BST / 1:00 PM ET, with the event streamed live on YouTube. This marks Nothing’s first foray into the flagship smartphone market, featuring both high-end specifications and a premium price point. The Nothing Phone (2) teetered on the edge of being a flagship, but the Phone (3) is set to fully embrace that status.
Co-founder Carl Pei emphasizes that this model will go “all-in.” The starting price is projected to be around £800 in the UK, approximately €850, or between $800 and $910, depending on the configuration. This pricing positions the Phone (3) to compete directly with other flagship models like the Galaxy S25, Pixel 9 Pro, and OnePlus 13. In terms of hardware, the Phone (3) is rumored to sport a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, potentially the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8 Elite.
This upgrade will quell any doubts that Nothing is charging flagship prices for mid-range specs. Additionally, the Phone (3) may feature an enhanced camera system, potentially including a periscope telephoto lens and a larger battery exceeding 5,000 mAh, compared to the Phone (2)’s 4,700 mAh. Design-wise, the Phone (3) is expected in two colors—white and black—along with two memory configurations: 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage and 16 GB RAM with 512 GB storage. There are speculations that Nothing might retire its Glyph lighting system in favor of a dot-matrix design, signaling a shift toward functional design over aesthetic glamour.
On the software front, the Phone (3) will likely come with Nothing OS 3.2 based on Android 15, featuring personalized UI elements and improvements in artificial intelligence and battery efficiency. Alongside this flagship release, the company reportedly plans to introduce the Nothing Headphone (1), an over-ear headphone priced around €300 or $320. As Nothing makes this leap to the premium segment, it will be crucial to see if they can uphold their loyal customer base and meet the high expectations for performance, camera capabilities, battery life, and software quality that come with a flagship smartphone.
