The ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) and WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) have announced a multi-year partnership with Verizon, signaling a significant milestone in U.S. tennis sponsorships. This collaboration, which commenced at the 2025 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, marks Verizon as the official telecommunications partner for both tours.
Verizon’s partnership extends to several prominent tournaments, including the ATX Open in Austin, the Delray Beach Open in Florida, and the Miami Open in Houston. Future events covered by this agreement will also involve the Mubadala Citi DC Open, Cincinnati Open, and the Winston-Salem Open, among others.
This deal grants Verizon integrated access to the Tennis Channel’s distribution network, enhancing its ability to reach tennis audiences. Through exclusive content placement on the Tennis Channel app and branding opportunities, Verizon will create a consolidated platform for fan engagement throughout the tennis season.
This initiative is designed to connect fans better with the sport they love, whether they’re watching live or streaming from home. Marina Storti, CEO of WTA Ventures, emphasized that this partnership exemplifies the collaborative spirit needed to generate value within the tennis community.
ATP Chief Business Officer Daniele Sano also highlighted that Verizon’s investment represents a key advancement in bringing tennis closer to American fans. Moreover, Sinclair’s Chief Business Officer, JR McCabe, noted that the partnership offers advertisers a unified opportunity to engage with tennis fans.
Eric Welles, Sinclair’s Chief Sports and Digital Monetization Officer, stated that Verizon is an ideal partner, one capable of unlocking unprecedented experiences for tennis enthusiasts. Overall, this new affiliation stands to enrich the tennis experience for fans across the United States.
