Get Ready: The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is Coming Sooner Than You Think!

Posted on 29 April 2025

The anticipation for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is building, as reports suggest it could be unveiled soon during Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event. Although the focus of this event will be on the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones, recent leaks imply that the successor to the Galaxy Watch Ultra may also make a debut. The original Galaxy Watch Ultra, launched during last summer’s Unpacked event, quickly garnered attention for its robust design and extensive features, positioning it alongside the Apple Watch Ultra.

The new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected to maintain a similar design aesthetic, with no significant changes in appearance anticipated. This continuation of design strategy aligns with Samsung’s approach of refining instead of reinventing successful products. One of the most encouraging aspects of the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is that it is expected to have the same retail price as its predecessor, which was set at $649.99.

This news is particularly favorable for consumers, as it suggests that they can expect additional value without facing a price increase. While detailed information regarding new features remains sparse, it seems likely that the Ultra 2 will include a version of One UI similar to One UI 7, enhancing its existing health and fitness capabilities. Competing directly with the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which debuted in 2023, Samsung has a unique opportunity to distinguish itself in the increasingly competitive smartwatch market.

As the Unpacked event approaches, all eyes will be on Samsung to see what enhancements and features the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will introduce and how it will hold up against its rivals.
