Honor is set to unveil its latest flagship model, the GT Pro, which follows the previous Honor GT that launched late last year. This upgraded version promises significant enhancements across various features. Notably, the GT Pro not only improves upon the Honor GT but also holds advantages over Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, in several key areas.
Although the official announcement is imminent, reputable leaker Digital Chat Station has already revealed crucial specifications for the Honor GT Pro. It will include Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, confirmed by earlier reports. Buyers will have several storage options, including configurations of 12/256GB, 12/512GB, 16/512GB, and a substantial 16GB/1TB variant.
In terms of camera capabilities, while specific details remain unclear, we do know the GT Pro will feature a 50-megapixel main camera equipped with a Sony IMX906 sensor, as well as a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a Sony IMX856 sensor and 3x optical zoom. The ultra-wide camera’s sensor size has yet to be disclosed, but it is likely to also be 50 megapixels. While the Galaxy S25 Ultra sports a 200-megapixel main camera, dominance in photography has yet to be determined solely by megapixel count.
The GT Pro’s battery stands out as a definitive advantage, sporting a generous 7,200 mAh capacity compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 5,000 mAh. Honor has confirmed this feature, along with its 90W fast charging capability. Additionally, the GT Pro is rumored to feature a striking 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate.
With an IP68 and IP69 rating, dual-frequency GPS, and advanced connectivity features, the GT Pro is poised for a competitive edge. The phone is anticipated to be revealed in China soon, offered in Phantom Black, Racing Gold, and Ice Crystal White.
