A significant leak has surfaced regarding the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip FE (or Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE), providing an extensive look at this much-anticipated device. This model is expected to serve as a more budget-friendly alternative to the forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7, appealing to consumers looking for a foldable phone without breaking the bank.
The Galaxy Z Flip FE is rumored to retain the 3.4-inch cover display, a feature consistent with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Flip 5. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may present a larger cover display.
Beyond this distinction, it appears that the Z Flip FE will mirror the design of the Flip 6, adhering to the trend we’ve seen from Samsung, where Fan Edition devices typically adopt the aesthetics of their premium counterparts. Recent renders of the Galaxy Z Flip FE showcase a mint color; however, it remains unclear if this will be an official launch color.
There has been no confirmation on the available color options for the device, but it’s likely that fresh colors reminiscent of the Flip series will be introduced upon its release. The Galaxy Z Flip FE has also been listed on the CCC, revealing specifications that may be less impressive than some were hoping for.
Expected features include Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor, available RAM options of 8GB or 12GB, and a 50MP main camera. The phone may have slightly larger dimensions than the Z Flip 6, with a thickness of around 7.4mm, although the underlying reasons for this change are not entirely known.
With increasing competition, including the upcoming Motorola Razr, Samsung has a robust opportunity to make a mark in the affordable foldable segment, which is still in its infancy.
