T-Mobile is actively working on optimizing various phone models for satellite connectivity and plans to push software updates to support this initiative. To determine if your phone is compatible with Starlink, it needs to be unlocked and satellite-optimized. The email from T-Mobile includes an easy way to check compatibility by using your device’s unique IMEI number, which can be found via simple steps on both iOS and Android systems.
If your phone is deemed compatible, T-Mobile will reach out via email. After the initial free trial, Starlink will be available for $20 per month for non-T-Mobile subscribers. However, customers on T-Mobile’s Go5G Next plan can enjoy the service for free, while customers on other plans will pay $15 per month.
