This promotion allows customers to enjoy satellite connectivity for each line they register in the Starlink beta program. Along with the satellite coverage, new T-Mobile customers can receive a complimentary 5G phone through 24 monthly bill credits. For those looking to keep their existing device, T-Mobile will reimburse up to $800 per line via a virtual prepaid Mastercard.
This attractive offer is specifically aimed at individuals who have signed up for the Starlink beta but are not currently T-Mobile customers. Previously, during the Super Bowl, T-Mobile announced a similar trial for existing customers of other carriers, including Verizon and AT&T, enabling them to experience the satellite service for free until July. The Starlink service operates seamlessly with both iOS and Android devices, automatically switching to satellite mode in areas devoid of cellular service. It also provides critical Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs) to those with compatible devices.
T-Mobile indicates that there is high demand for the Starlink beta, with thousands of new people being added daily. Initially, the service will allow users to send and receive text messages via satellite in regions without cellular coverage. Future plans include enabling voice calls through the satellite network.
