Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Leak Reveals Significant Upgrades in Key Features for Budget Phones

Posted on 22 July 2025

Xiaomi is preparing to unveil the latest model in its budget-friendly Redmi Note series, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. Following the successful launch of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ last September in China, anticipation is growing for this new iteration. Recent leaks provide insights into what consumers can expect from the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, particularly highlighting its impressive battery life. One of the standout features of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is expected to be its 1.5K resolution display.

While the exact size remains unspecified, it is likely to retain a similar 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with slim bezels, complemented by a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This configuration should contribute to a visually appealing user experience, keeping in line with current trends in smartphone design. In terms of photography, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ may include a dual-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50 MP main sensor alongside a 50 MP telephoto lens. This approach could provide significant improvements in photo quality and versatility compared to last year’s model.

However, it is worth noting that the international version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ featured a different camera configuration, with a 200 MP main camera and additional sensors. Many consumers would appreciate a consistent camera setup across both versions. One of the most exciting aspects of the upcoming model is its potential battery capacity. Reports suggest that the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ might boast a massive battery ranging from 7,000mAh to 7,999mAh, a substantial increase from the 6,200mAh battery found in the current Chinese model.

This enhancement should lead to extraordinary battery life, which is a key selling point for budget smartphones. Powering the device, it is anticipated that the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will utilize the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, building on the performance of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 used in its predecessor. With a competitive price point of around $379 for the current global version, if Xiaomi maintains this pricing while enhancing the specifications, it will likely appeal greatly to consumers seeking a robust budget smartphone option.
