U.S. Mobile is set to enhance its wireless plans significantly, beginning on August 1. As outlined in the company’s recent Reddit post, the Unlimited Premium plan will now provide unlimited high-speed data across all three networks: Warp, Light Speed, and Dark Star.
This upgrade means there is no longer a 100 GB soft cap, and importantly, there will be no increase in pricing. Each network maintains its distinct advantages. Warp is known for dependable domestic coverage, while Light Speed excels in international connections.
Dark Star offers flexibility, particularly through its extensive roaming capabilities. With the updates, Unlimited Premium customers will have seamless access to all three networks, ensuring full-speed data and improved global service. There are also new developments regarding network priorities.
Premium subscribers will receive default QCI-8 priority on the Warp and Dark Star networks, with plans to add QCI-7 to Dark Star soon. Hotspot usage limits will remain unchanged, with 50 GB on Warp and Light Speed and unlimited hotspot data on Dark Star, following a pattern of high-speed and then reduced speeds thereafter. Roaming services are being enhanced as well.
Customers will now receive 20 GB of data, 200 minutes, and 250 texts when traveling internationally. The Light Speed network will cover over 180 countries, Dark Star will encompass 110 (including 41 for data only), while Warp aims to expand from 12 to 125 countries next month. Additionally, Dark Star’s roaming will standardize at 20 GB per country.
The Unlimited Starter plan will undergo meaningful improvements as well. Dark Star will now include unlimited high-speed data, and both Warp and Light Speed will boost their high-speed caps from 35 GB to 70 GB. Starting August 18, new Starter customers on Warp will automatically receive QCI-9, with an option to upgrade to QCI-8 for a nominal fee.
Existing customers coming before this new plan will maintain QCI-8 permanently at no charge. To help encourage adoption, U.S. Mobile is offering two free multi-network lines for two billing cycles across all Unlimited plans, allowing users to test performance across their networks.
