Samsung is gearing up to introduce the Galaxy S25 FE, expected to launch this fall. Based on leaked specifications, the Galaxy S25 FE promises to deliver significant upgrades and could provide excellent value for consumers. Historically, the Galaxy FE models are released about six months after the flagship versions, offering a more budget-friendly alternative without compromising essential features.
The design of the Galaxy S25 FE will reportedly align closely with that of the Galaxy S25 Plus, featuring similar dimensions and weight. The anticipated thickness is around 7.4 mm and approximately 190 grams, marking a notable improvement over the previous Galaxy S24 FE, which was thicker and heavier. One of the standout features of the S25 FE will be its battery capacity.
The device is expected to house a 4,900mAh battery, an increase of 200mAh compared to the Galaxy S24 FE. This brings it in line with the Galaxy S25 Plus and nearly the Galaxy S25 Ultra, both of which offer similar capacities. However, there are questions about battery life, especially since the phone is likely powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, which may affect performance.
In terms of charging capabilities, the Galaxy S25 FE will likely support 45W wired charging, a significant bump from the 25W of its predecessor. This brings it into the same charging territory as flagship models, making it an attractive buy against the standard Galaxy S25. Wireless charging should also be available but is expected to remain at a standard 15W speed, similar to previous models.
The S25 FE may also feature reverse wireless charging, likely capped at around 5W, suitable primarily for charging small devices during emergencies. Unfortunately, like many recent smartphones, the Galaxy S25 FE may not include a charger in the box, following a trend established by various manufacturers. However, it will come with a USB-C cable and will work best with Samsung’s 45W fast charger for optimal performance.
