Everything You Need to Know About the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Camera

Posted on 10 July 2025

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is the latest addition to the company’s foldable phone lineup. While it may not introduce significant enhancements compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, it does maintain some familiarity in its camera capabilities.

As Samsung continues to solidify its presence in the foldable market, the Z Flip 7 comes as a modest upgrade with no major shifts in the main camera system. Like its predecessors, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 features a dual-camera setup on the back, along with a single front-facing selfie camera.

This design approach seems consistent with the compact nature of Samsung’s foldable designs, which prioritize size and aesthetics over camera prowess. The company has also introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which shares the same camera system as the standard model.

In terms of camera specifications, the main camera on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 remains unchanged, featuring a 50MP F1.8 lens similar to that of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Its modest size and field-of-view will likely offer adequate performance but may not push any boundaries in the mobile photography arena.

The ultrawide camera remains a reliable 12MP F2.2 lens, consistent with previous models and capable of decent image quality without being groundbreaking in features or capabilities. The front camera consists of a standard 10MP sensor, suitable for video calls and casual selfies.

While it is essential to evaluate how well the Z Flip 7 performs in real-world scenarios, it is important to note that differences in software optimization can significantly impact image quality. Previous experiences with Samsung devices demonstrate that even minor adjustments in processing algorithms can lead to varying levels of performance and overall camera success.
