Apple Music Marks 10-Year Anniversary with Feature Highlighting Your Most Streamed Songs

Posted on 1 July 2025

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Apple Music, a milestone that Apple is celebrating by introducing an exciting new feature for its users. Starting tomorrow, July 1st, Apple Music will launch a countdown of the top 500 most streamed songs on its platform, revealing 100 songs each day until the grand finale on July 5th. On that date, the top 100 streamed songs will be unveiled, accompanied by a special playlist titled “10 Years of Apple Music: Top Songs.” Additionally, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. PDT (7 p.m. to 10 p.m. EDT) tonight, Apple Music will host a live stream called “Live: 10 Years of Apple Music.”

This event, hosted by Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden, will feature performances and discussions with artists who have significantly contributed to the platform’s success. Listeners can tune in directly from the Apple Music app. Apple Music is also enhancing its Replay feature, which allows subscribers to access their most streamed songs from the previous year. The new Replay All Time feature will let users see and listen to their top tracks since they joined Apple Music.

This playlist will be accessible via the Home tab in the app. In conjunction with the anniversary, Apple has unveiled a new, expansive studio space in Los Angeles. This state-of-the-art facility spans three stories and over 15,000 square feet, equipped with advanced radio studios, a large soundstage for live performances, and dedicated spaces for content creation. It will serve as a hub for music events and collaborations, showcasing the evolution of Apple Music over the last decade.

The journey began with Apple’s landmark acquisition of Beats Audio in 2014 for $3 billion, a move that laid the groundwork for Apple Music’s impressive subscriber growth, reaching approximately 103 million by mid-2025.
