Exciting Features to Look Forward to in the Upcoming OnePlus Nord CE5 Mid-Range Smartphone

Posted on 1 July 2025

There’s plenty to be excited about regarding the OnePlus Nord CE5, which is set to be unveiled next week. OnePlus has been generating buzz around this mid-range device by sharing key features that are expected to make it stand out in a competitive market.

Recently, an executive provided insights about the phone, confirming that it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex processor—an upgrade that positions the Nord CE5 among the more powerful budget-friendly smartphones. The Dimensity 8350 Apex is lauded for its performance capabilities, drawing comparisons to the chipsets found in other robust mid-range offerings like the Motorola Edge 60 Pro and Oppo Reno 13 Pro.

Such enhancements are likely to facilitate marked performance improvements, making the Nord CE5 a strong contender in its price category. One standout feature of the Nord CE5 is its impressive battery capacity of 5,200mAh, paired with 80W fast charging, allowing it to recharge from 0 to 100 percent in under an hour.

While this marks a slight downgrade from last year’s model, which had a 5,500mAh battery, the trade-off might be justified given the inclusion of a high-quality 50MP Sony sensor with optical image stabilization for the main camera. Visually, the phone promises an appealing design with options such as Black Infinity and Marble Mist.

The Marble Mist variant is particularly noted for its unique aesthetic, featuring a sandy texture that changes under varying light. Regrettably, it appears unlikely that the Nord CE5 will see a release in the U.S., a trend that may also apply to its more premium counterpart, the OnePlus Nord 5.

Despite this disappointment, the Nord CE5 remains an exciting prospect in the mid-range smartphone segment.
