The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is set to be revealed next month, with sales beginning in August. Samsung has made significant improvements to the design of its clamshell foldable phone, making it one of the most advanced options on the market.
Recent leaks have shed light on some of the display enhancements compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The outer screen is expanding from 3.5 inches to a full 4 inches, while the main display increases slightly from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches.
This means that when unfolded, the Flip 7 will offer dimensions comparable to most flagship smartphones of today. Notably, design updates include a larger outer display area, as the camera cutout has been eliminated.
This design feature will also appear on the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, Samsung’s budget foldable, which will launch in August alongside the Flip 7. Additionally, the bezels surrounding the main display have been further minimized, further enhancing the device’s aesthetic appeal.
However, there are concerns regarding the Flip 7’s battery life. As is typical for Samsung, the battery size is expected to be smaller than that of competing models, with slower charging speeds.
For instance, the Xiaomi Mix Flip, which rivals the Flip 7, boasts a larger battery and uses a Snapdragon processor, while the Flip 7 will rely on the Exynos 2500 chip. Ultimately, if Samsung can enhance its battery capacity and charging capabilities in future models, it will significantly elevate its standing in the foldable smartphone market.
In the meantime, the Flip 7 promises to be a formidable contender against competitors like Xiaomi.
