OnePlus 13s Screen Defects Reported: Warranty Confusion Arises [UPDATE: Issue Resolved]

Posted on 27 July 2025

Reports of early screen defects are emerging for the OnePlus 13s, particularly concerning the appearance of green lines on the display. Although OnePlus has claimed that these incidents are isolated, the experiences of some users have led to confusion regarding warranty coverage and support. In an update on July 26, 2025, OnePlus stated that they have addressed the issue with an affected user, and this particular case has been resolved. The company emphasized that this instance is the only reported occurrence related to the OnePlus 13s to date.

OnePlus also noted that they are the first to offer a lifetime warranty against green line issues in India, underscoring their commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction. The original issue was shared by a Reddit user named u/blackarrow3839, who reported that a green line developed on their OnePlus 13s shortly after purchase. The initial appearance of the line was brief, disappearing and then reappearing the following day. Despite documenting the issue, the user was concerned about what would happen if the defect recurred after OnePlus’s strict 15-day replacement policy.

While the company offers a lifetime warranty for screen issues like this, obtaining support is not always a straightforward process, causing frustration among users. This concern is significant given the advanced specifications of the OnePlus 13s, which boasts a 6.32-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and 12GB of RAM, along with a commendable battery capacity. As OnePlus works to address customer concerns, the reported display issues may prompt potential buyers to reconsider their decisions. Improved support for affected users will be essential to maintain trust in the brand, particularly as they uphold their commitment to long-term screen protection.
