Google has introduced a feature for Android users that allows them to access their Song Search history through the popular “Circle to Search” function. This feature enhances the experience of users wanting to revisit their musical explorations with ease.
To begin, accessing Circle to Search is straightforward. Users can long-press the Home button when using three-button navigation or the navigation handle if they are employing gesture controls.
Once activated, users will see a Circle to Search bar. By tapping the musical note icon within this bar, an additional feature appears in the top right corner, represented by a clock icon with an arrow wrapped around it.
This icon takes users to their “Recent song searches” page. The page displays searches conducted in the current month, showcasing details like song cover art, title, artist, and the date and time of the search.
Users can scroll down to explore their search history from previous months. Each of the 10 songs displayed per month can be tapped to see relevant Google Search results, providing options for an overview or the song’s lyrics.
Additionally, for those wanting to delve deeper into their history, a button labeled “show full history” is available, allowing access to all previously searched songs. While this feature is exclusive to Android via Circle to Search, iPhone users can also review their Song Search history using the Google app.
Simply tap the microphone icon and click “Search a song” to access a similar history feature. Regardless of the device, users can now easily reflect on their recent musical interests and enjoy revisiting past searches.
