Recent leaks suggest that Samsung is set to enhance the Galaxy S25 FE with a notable battery improvement. Speculation indicates that this budget flagship might feature the same impressive charging speeds as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, potentially supporting up to 45W wired charging.
However, it’s important to note that, as with previous models, Samsung is unlikely to include a charger in the box. Certification listings from TÜV Rheinland have revealed that the Galaxy S25 FE could support either 10V/4.5A or 15V/3A wired fast charging.
This would mean a charging speed of 45W, a marked upgrade from last year’s Galaxy S24 FE, which only supported 25W charging. The current Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Edge also feature the same, lower charging speeds.
In addition to improved charging, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to present several design upgrades. Rumored redesigns suggest that the device may have a slimmer profile and reduced bezels, potentially measuring just 7.4mm thick—almost as thin as the standard Galaxy S25.
While the design may change, it is anticipated that it will maintain the same 4,700mAh battery found in last year’s model, with some hopes for a slight increase to 5,000mAh. Samsung is likely to equip the Galaxy S25 FE with its Exynos 2400 chipset, the same processor used in other recent Fan Edition devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
Samsung typically unveils its Fan Edition products in the fall, following last year’s September release of the Galaxy S24 FE. Overall, if Samsung manages to enhance the battery size and charging speed while keeping the price reasonable, the Galaxy S25 FE could emerge as a strong contender in the smartphone market.
