Recent leaks about Google’s Pixel 10 lineup reveal a noticeable trend: the tech giant is embracing shades of gray. The latest images, shared by renowned leaker Evan Blass, showcase final marketing renders of several devices in the series, including the Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds Pro 2.
Notably, most of these products feature a color referred to as Moonstone, which is a light shade of gray, potentially positioning it as the flagship color for the Pixel 10. Interestingly, while the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are dubbed “Sterling,” they fit seamlessly alongside the rest of Google’s gray-themed offerings.
The leaked images depict the Pixel Watch 4, which comes with a matching Moonstone band, though it also has a slimmer option that’s distinct. In contrast to the predominantly gray spectrum, color options for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may offer a brighter palette, although previous leaks suggest a Moonstone variant for that device as well.
Evan Blass’s credibility lends weight to these renders, suggesting they might be used in marketing following the Pixel 10 series’ premiere on August 20. This year’s updates appear to focus more on software and hardware enhancements rather than radical design changes.
The Pixel 10 series is anticipated to incorporate the Tensor G5 chipset, marking Google’s first fully in-house designed chip, built using TSMC’s 3nm process. This development positions Google alongside Apple and Samsung in creating proprietary silicon, which could significantly enhance the Pixel’s performance.
As for the color palette, while Google’s muted Moonstone shades may not push boundaries, they align with trends seen in Apple and Samsung’s high-end devices. A more vibrant color selection for the Pro models would be refreshing.
For now, fans may have to stick with their existing accessories to add some color.
