Samsung’s excitement continues as the Galaxy S25 lineup is set to expand later this year, with the anticipated release of the Galaxy S25 FE. This new model is expected to launch around October and will closely resemble the Galaxy S25, featuring similar hardware to the mid-sized flagship. The Galaxy S25 FE aims to be both thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 FE. It will boast an Armor Aluminum build, powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset.
Additionally, users can expect a larger battery offering faster charging capabilities. The device will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, making it a solid upgrade from the Galaxy S24 FE. Despite these enhancements, the camera system appears to remain unchanged. The Galaxy S25 FE is likely to feature the same setup as the Galaxy S24 FE, consisting of a 50MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera.
However, there is a hint of a new 12MP selfie camera, replacing the 10MP version found in the previous model, likely retaining autofocus capabilities. While hardware will play a part, software innovations may define the camera’s performance. Samsung has shown a remarkable ability to enhance image processing between generations, suggesting that even with similar hardware, the Galaxy S25 FE may deliver significantly improved photography. Given the Galaxy S24 FE’s commendable performance in earlier camera tests, there’s optimism for the Galaxy S25 FE to achieve comparable results.
The previous model was praised for its color accuracy and detail, and with potential software optimizations, the upcoming phone could perform exceptionally well in the competitive smartphone market.
