Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 renders reveal impressive, sleek side profile design improvements.

Posted on 27 June 2025

Recently leaked renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 have showcased Samsung’s impressive design updates, particularly in their slimmer profiles. While the Flip 7 maintains its predecessor’s thickness at 6.9 mm, the Fold 7 has made significant strides, now measuring only 8.9 mm, a notable decrease from the previous model’s 12.1 mm.

This reduction gives the Fold 7 a modern and sleek appearance that suggests a leap in design innovation. Despite this emphasis on slimness, Samsung has not compromised on performance.

The Fold 7 is set to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which also features in the Galaxy S25 series. This choice signals Samsung’s dedication to delivering a powerful device without sacrificing form.

Additionally, the company claims improvements to the main display’s crease, which should enhance the user experience when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, there are some downsides.

The battery remains the same as the Fold 6 at 4,400 mAh, and current reports indicate that the charging speeds may not have seen significant upgrades. This could be a letdown for users expecting more from the latest release.

As the foldable smartphone market faces challenges, the introduction of the Fold 7 and Flip 7 comes at a crucial time. With competitors like the Oppo Find N5 and Honor Magic V5 making strides, Samsung’s investment in foldable technology is vital to maintain leadership in the space.

Scheduled for unveiling next month, the Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and Fold 7 are anticipated to make waves upon their release in August, potentially revitalizing interest in foldables.
