The OnePlus 13s has finally been unveiled, and it is already generating buzz as one of the best compact phones of 2025. Currently up for pre-order, its availability is limited to India and possibly other regions in Asia.
OnePlus is making a concerted effort to revive interest in compact Android flagships, with the 13s standing out for its impressive specifications. This new model bears a striking resemblance to the China-only OnePlus 13T that was unveiled recently.
Key features of the OnePlus 13s include a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The phone boasts 12GB of RAM and offers storage options of 256GB or 512GB.
The camera setup is noteworthy, featuring a 50MP primary sensor and a secondary 50MP telephoto lens, alongside a 32MP front-facing camera. With a robust 5,850mAh battery and support for 80W SuperVOOC charging, this handset promises longevity and quick recharging capabilities.
Despite the phone being smaller and lighter than competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, it maintains superior battery capacity. However, it is worth noting that the 5,850mAh battery is a step down compared to the OnePlus 13T’s remarkable 6,260mAh battery.
The OnePlus 13s is available in three color variants: Green Silk, Black Velvet, and Pink Satin. Starting at the equivalent of $640 in India, the OnePlus 13s comes with complimentary OnePlus Nord Buds 3 for a limited time.
Although it doesn’t directly compete with budget options like the Google Pixel 9a, its price is justified given its cutting-edge specs and advanced AI capabilities. With features like the versatile Plus Key, the OnePlus 13s brings practicality to the forefront, albeit with the disappointing omission of a global release.
