Leaked Image Suggests Surprising Feature for iPhone 17 Air Model

Posted on 27 June 2025

The iPhone 17 Air is making waves with its unconventional selfie camera placement, as revealed in a recently leaked image. This photo showcases screen protectors for the entire iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, all of which position the front camera on the right side of the Dynamic Island. However, the Air stands out by moving its camera to the left side, a change that has stirred some discussion among tech enthusiasts.

According to well-known leaker Majin Bu, this alteration could offer “new angles and a different interaction” for users. However, this claim is met with skepticism. It seems more plausible that the shift in camera placement is driven by considerations of thinness and the need to accommodate additional internal components rather than enhancing user experience.

Moreover, the iPhone 17 Air’s design appears to be significantly distinct from its counterparts in the lineup. While it boasts an attractive thin profile, rumors suggest that this could result in a reduced battery size, potentially impacting usage. In the competitive landscape, the iPhone 17 Air is positioned against rivals like the recently announced Galaxy S25 Edge, which is struggling to attract buyers despite its sleek aesthetics.

As a tech enthusiast, I personally remain hesitant about committing to the iPhone 17 Air. Its slim design is appealing, but I concern myself with practicality, especially regarding battery life and durability when using a case. However, preferences vary greatly among users.

For some, the allure of a lightweight, fashionable device outweighs battery-related worries, highlighting how personal priorities ultimately shape our choices in smartphones.
