Leak Reveals RAM and Processor Specs for Samsung Galaxy Tri-Foldable Device

Posted on 25 June 2025

Samsung is gearing up to release its highly anticipated tri-foldable smartphone, the Galaxy G Fold. According to reports, this new device will come equipped with a hefty 16 GB of RAM and exclusively feature a Snapdragon processor. The launch is expected later this year, provided there are no unforeseen delays.

The Galaxy G Fold is set to raise the bar for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which may also include a 16 GB RAM option. Traditionally, the Galaxy S series has focused on 12 GB RAM models, despite earlier offerings featuring more advanced specifications. Reliable sources have indicated that the G Fold will standardize 16 GB of RAM, a move aimed at making Samsung competitive against rising domestic brands in China.

However, there are concerns regarding the launch of the Galaxy G Fold. Samsung appears to be bracing for modest sales, given the estimated high price point of the device in a market that is already struggling. Initial production numbers are limited to just 200,000 units, and the potential for a global rollout will largely depend on how well the phone performs upon release.

Its direct competitor, the Huawei Mate XT, faced a similar fate but managed to sell over 400,000 units. Despite Samsung’s innovation in foldable technology, some consumers have voiced their desire for improvements in battery life and charging speeds rather than new designs. Critics point out that upcoming models, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, seem to recycle older battery capacities rather than enhance them.

As both Samsung and Apple appear to focus on features that may not resonate with consumers, there is growing anticipation for a return to more fundamental enhancements in mobile technology.
