Leak Reveals Availability of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, Fold 7, and Tri-Fold Models

Posted on 27 June 2025

Samsung is set to launch its highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 foldable smartphones next month, alongside a potential Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. According to insiders, the availability of the Flip 7 and Fold 7 is expected to commence shortly after their unveiling, while the new tri-fold phone, tentatively called the Galaxy G Fold, will be released later in the year. The Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 9 in New York City, where Samsung will showcase the Flip 7, Fold 7, and possibly the Z Flip 7 FE.

Reports suggest that these devices will hit the market in August, about a month following their announcement. Although not mentioned directly in the leaks, the Flip 7 FE should also be available in August after its reveal at the same event. Leaks indicate that the Fold 7 will significantly surpass the technology seen in the Fold 6.

As for the tri-fold device, it aims to compete directly with Huawei’s Mate X2. This phone will be introduced in July alongside the other models but is estimated to be available for purchase in October. However, this model will see a limited release restricted to select markets.

The Fold 7 is anticipated to represent a considerable advancement over its predecessor, with some concerns regarding its battery capacity remaining at 4,400 mAh and a 25W charging speed, reminiscent of the Fold 6. Competition from devices like Oppo’s Find N5 and Honor’s Magic V5 pressures Samsung to improve. Yet, Samsung is capitalizing on its strong software support promises and user-friendly One UI, which could position the Fold 7 as a leading contender in the foldable market.

While the Fold 7 and G Fold are appealing options for those prioritizing long-term support, products like the Find N5 and Magic V5 remain formidable challengers.
