Asus Leader Attempts to Destroy ExpertBook Laptop in Four Unique Challenges—Will He Succeed?

Posted on 25 June 2025

Asus ExpertBook laptops have sparked curiosity regarding their durability, a question that Dinesh Sharma, the Vice President of Commercial PC and Smartphone System Business Group at Asus India, aimed to explore in a recent YouTube segment. During an 85-minute conversation with Raj Shamani, a popular YouTuber with over 11 million subscribers, Sharma conducted a series of tests to demonstrate the laptop’s resilience. The first test involved pouring water onto the closed laptop to simulate a real-life situation where liquids might accidentally spill on devices. After quickly shaking off the excess water and performing a hasty wipe, Sharma handed the laptop to Shamani for inspection.

To the audience’s surprise, the laptop powered on without any issues, successfully passing the initial stage of the durability test. Next came the screen toughness experiment. Sharma had Shamani lift the laptop by one corner of the screen. While the display bent slightly under the pressure, it sustained no visible damage—a noteworthy outcome.

To further verify the screen’s durability, Shamani tested both corners, finding consistent resilience. The third test was more unconventional, where Shamani stepped on the laptop with the lid closed. Despite the unusual nature of this test, it highlighted that even if someone mistakenly places their laptop on the floor, it could likely endure such an accident, as evidenced by the laptop’s continued functionality. Finally, in a playful twist, the duo connected an Ethernet cable to the laptop and attached a significant weight to the other end.

Amazingly, the laptop’s LAN port held up, demonstrating its robustness. Overall, while opinions on the durability of Asus laptops vary among users online, this engaging YouTube experiment effectively showcased the ExpertBook’s impressive sturdiness, particularly in its screen chassis design.
