OnePlus has introduced two new models to its Ace family: the Ace 5 Ultra and the Ace 5 Racing Edition. These devices boast impressive specifications at an affordable price point; however, they are currently exclusive to China, leaving many international fans envious. The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1272 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor and offers a range of storage options from 256GB to 1TB, alongside RAM variants of 12GB and 16GB.
Running on Android 15 with ColorOS 15, the phone also includes a dual-camera system with a 50MP primary lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, supported by a remarkable 6,700mAh battery and 100W charging capability. All of this starts at an incredibly low price of approximately $345 and goes up to about $525 for the highest configuration. In comparison, the Ace 5 Racing Edition comes with a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED display, featuring a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor and offers similar storage and RAM options.
Notably, this model packs a massive 7,100mAh battery, touting an 80W charging speed. Priced at around $250 for the base model, it presents a strong value proposition, especially considering its impressive battery and performance specs. While it is unfortunate that these devices may not reach markets in the US or Europe, some of their attributes could potentially influence OnePlus’s future international models.
