OnePlus is making waves this month with a series of new smartphone releases. Among them, the Ace 5 Ultra is anticipated to become a noteworthy addition to the company’s lineup, positioning itself as a flagship killer alongside the previously launched Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, which debuted in China last year. Although the Ace 5 Ultra may not be the most powerful offering from OnePlus, it is expected to be more affordable than the high-end OnePlus 10 Pro, which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. When it comes to performance, the Ace 5 Ultra falls between the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro in terms of specifications.
Recently, the Ace 5 Ultra was listed on Geekbench, revealing that it operates on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset. This processor provides a slight performance boost over the standard Dimensity 9400, although it still trails behind Qualcomm’s leading flagship processors. Notably, the Dimensity 9400+ features a Prime core clocked at 3.73 GHz, compared to the 3.63 GHz of the standard version. While this enhancement is present, the real-world performance difference might not be significant for users.
The device is expected to include 16 GB of RAM, with additional storage options likely at launch. Running on Android 15, the Ace 5 Ultra offers a glimpse of OnePlus’s commitment to providing advanced smartphone features. Set to launch in China this month, the Ace 5 Ultra, also referred to as the Ace 5 Supreme Edition, is anticipated to remain exclusive to that market. This limitation means that consumers outside China will not have easy access to this device unless they seek alternatives specifically designed for the Chinese market.
