Samsung’s One UI 7 update has been facing significant challenges for months, disappointing users worldwide. The company’s failure to release this crucial software update on time has been frustrating for many Samsung customers.
Earlier this month, Samsung announced that select flagship devices would finally receive the update in April, with additional devices set to follow in May and June. However, the rollout hit a snag due to a serious bug that escaped detection during beta testing, forcing Samsung to temporarily pause the update.
After resuming, they provided an updated schedule, stating that older flagships would also be included for the April rollout. With past disappointments weighing heavily, many users remain skeptical about Samsung’s ability to deliver as promised.
Today marks the beginning of the One UI 7 rollout for devices such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Tab S10, and Tab S9 series. Currently, this update is only available in South Korea but is expected to expand to other regions in the coming days.
Generally, the update is around 5 GB, including the April 2025 security patch. While Samsung is making strides toward fulfilling its commitment to speed up the One UI 7 update, numerous devices still await their turn.
The revised schedule for April includes a long list of models, such as the Galaxy S24, S23, S22, S21 series, and several of Samsung’s foldable phones. Following this plan, the Galaxy S22 and S21 series along with older foldable devices are next in line to receive the update.
Samsung’s roadmap reflects their ongoing efforts despite the setbacks encountered. In addition to tech updates, it’s crucial for discussions about such topics to remain focused and respectful.
