Resolve the potential Galaxy S25 Ultra camera issue before your warranty runs out

Posted on 13 April 2025

Galaxy S25 Ultra users are facing a significant issue with the camera, particularly with the newly introduced 0.6x ultra-wide setting. Many have reported a disturbing clicking sound and a jittery preview when using this feature. This defect seems to affect both photos and videos, with users noting that the camera vibrates and makes noise, compromising the overall experience. Despite attempts to reset the device, those experiencing the problem express that their phones were never dropped, pointing to a potential manufacturing flaw in the ultra-wide sensor.

Complaints highlight the inability to take stable pictures or videos, with some users needing to wait for the camera to stabilize before obtaining a clear image. Feedback from users is consistent, with many suggesting that the noise may originate from the focus motor or the optical image stabilization (OIS) malfunctioning. Even after visiting service centers, some reported that the issue persists despite software updates, indicating a hardware problem that requires urgent attention. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, priced at $1,299.99, is marketed for its advanced camera capabilities.

Therefore, it is concerning that so many users are encountering this defect shortly after the phone’s release. While Samsung has not yet officially acknowledged the issue, they have shown a willingness to assist affected users, often by offering to replace either the camera module or the entire phone. Given the situation, it is advisable for Galaxy S25 Ultra owners to address this defect before the warranty expires. With past problems concerning the camera, like banding issues, being fixed through software, there is hope that a resolution will be provided for this latest defect as well.
