The Pixel 9a, Google’s latest mid-range smartphone, has officially launched and is available for pre-order. Priced at $499 for the 128GB model, the phone will be released on June 1, as noted by Amazon. There are two storage options to choose from: the base model, which starts at $499, and a higher capacity 256GB version priced at $599.
In terms of design, the Pixel 9a is available in four color choices: Obsidian (black), Porcelain (off-white), Iris (light purple), and Peony (pink). However, not all color options are available for both storage variants. The base 128GB model is limited to Peony and Porcelain, while Obsidian and Iris are exclusive to the 256GB variant.
Although it is possible that Google may offer broader color choices in the future, current options are restricted as mentioned. This device features a 6.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. Inside, it is equipped with the same 4nm Tensor G4 processor found in the rest of the Pixel 9 series.
Both storage configurations are paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring quick performance. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual-camera system on the back, consisting of a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide lens. Additionally, the Pixel 9a is powered by a substantial 5,100mAh battery, which supports 23W wired charging—an upgrade from the previous model’s 18W charging.
