Nubia has unveiled two new devices: the Z70S Ultra, which emphasizes camera capabilities, and its first flagship tablet, the Pad Pro. This new tablet offers a budget-friendly alternative to flagship models from more prominent brands like Apple and Samsung. Despite being categorized as a flagship tablet, the Pad Pro is affordably priced. Released in China, the tablet comes in several configurations at competitive rates, considering its hardware specifications.
The pricing for the various models includes:
– 8/256 GB at 2,800 yuan ($385 / €335)
– 12/256GB at 3,000 yuan ($410 / €360)
– 16/512GB at 3,400 yuan ($465 / €410)
– 16 GB / 1 TB at 4,000 yuan ($550 / €480)
Nubia has announced that the Pad Pro is set to launch internationally on May 13, with localized pricing expected to remain relatively similar. Unlike Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 series, the Pad Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. While not the most advanced chipset from Qualcomm, it competes well with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ found in the Galaxy Tab S10. The Pad Pro features a compact 10.9-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2.8K and a 144 Hz refresh rate.
One notable drawback is the absence of a microSD card slot; however, the tablet compensates with its substantial 10,100 mAh battery that supports 66W wired charging. Additionally, highlights of the Nubia Pad Pro include a 13-megapixel main camera and a larger 20-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet also supports stylus usage and offers a magnetic keyboard for enhanced productivity. This keyboard is priced at 500 yuan ($70 / €60) in China, but it may be slightly more costly when available globally.
