Leaked Information Reveals Launch Details for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 Smartphones

Posted on 24 April 2025

Recent reports suggest that Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 may be revealed at a dedicated launch event in early July. This event is anticipated to take place in New York, marking Samsung’s return to the U.S. for a launch after three years. The last time they held an event in the U.S. was for the unveiling of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4.

According to the reports, attendees can also expect the introduction of a new Galaxy Watch and the company’s first Android XR-based headset. There may also be a teaser for the Galaxy Z Flip FE, a budget-friendly version of the clamshell foldable phone. Additionally, Samsung could showcase a tri-fold device competing with Huawei’s Mate XT.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8.2-inch foldable display. Improvements in the camera department are also suggested, while the charging setup is likely to remain at 25W. For the Z Flip 7, a larger 4-inch cover screen and a 6.85-inch folding screen are on the cards, although it remains uncertain whether it will run on Qualcomm’s latest chip or Samsung’s Exynos.

The previous models, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, were revealed on July 10, which falls on a Wednesday. This year, speculation suggests the event may occur on either July 2 or July 9. Both devices are poised to enter a challenging foldable market, with significant trends indicating that growth may stabilize by 2025, amidst strong competition, including rumors of an upcoming foldable iPhone from Apple.
