Recently, we discussed Ulefone’s shift from rugged devices to sleek smartphones. Now, the company is returning to its core strength with the upcoming Ulefone Armor X32 Pro, set to launch between April 14 and 20 at a price of $380.
This new rugged phone features impressive specifications and durability. The Armor X32 Pro will be available in three color variants, though black dominates the palette.
There are also options featuring vivid green and vibrant orange highlights alongside the pure black model. Unlike the trend of ultra-thin smartphones from brands like Samsung and Apple, this device measures 14.5 mm thick and weighs 280 grams.
While it may not be sleek, it boasts a substantial 5,500 mAh battery, which Ulefone claims can offer up to 300 hours of standby time. As expected from a rugged phone, the Armor X32 Pro is designed to endure tough conditions.
It can withstand immersion in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes and is certified with the MIL-STD-810H rating. This certification indicates the phone has passed rigorous military-grade durability tests, assuring it can handle extreme conditions better than conventional smartphones, although actual durability can vary by manufacturer.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, expandable up to 2 TB with a microSD card. The 5.56-inch display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and offers a resolution of 720 x 1440, along with a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.
Photography-wise, the back features a 64 MP main camera with a Sony IMX682 sensor and a large f/1.9 aperture for better light sensitivity. Additionally, there’s a 25 MP infrared Night Vision camera and a 2 MP macro camera, although the latter may not see frequent use.
