Introducing the Vivo X200 Ultra: A Game-Changing Phone with an Impressive Detachable 9x Zoom Lens!

Posted on 23 April 2025

The Vivo X200 Ultra has officially launched, and it’s poised to be one of the premier camera phones of 2025. However, currently, it is only available in China, following the trend of its predecessor, the Vivo X100 Ultra, which was also exclusive to that market.

This flagship Android device not only excels in photography but also boasts impressive specifications. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, similar to that used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The Vivo X200 Ultra is equipped with a substantial 6,000 mAh battery, which supports rapid 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, allowing for fast and flexible power options. The phone features a 6.82-inch QHD+ OLED display with LTPO technology, reaching a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, making it one of the brightest screens in the market.

Moreover, it holds both IP68 and IP69 ratings for robust water and dust resistance. Additional features enhance the user experience, including dual stereo speakers, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and an infrared blaster.

The device runs on the latest OriginOS 5 based on Android 15. It offers various storage options, starting with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, up to a premium 16 GB RAM with 1 TB storage along with support for satellite communication.

Prices range from approximately 6,499 yuan (~$890) to 7,999 yuan (~$1,100). The camera system is where the Vivo X200 Ultra truly shines.

The main camera utilizes a 50 MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with a narrower 35 mm focal length, providing a unique perspective. The ultrawide camera features the same 50 MP sensor at a 14mm focal length for excellent image quality.

Notably, the 200 MP periscope telephoto camera incorporates Samsung’s Isocell HP9 sensor, featuring 3.7x optical zoom. Vivo offers an optional telephoto converter lens that attaches magnetically, allowing for enhanced zoom capabilities, and includes a dedicated camera grip with additional controls.

The complete Photographer Kit, which entails the lens, grip, strap, and the premium phone version, retails for 9,699 yuan (~$1,329). This innovative smartphone is rich with features, making it a noteworthy option for tech enthusiasts and aspiring photographers alike.
