Xiaomi’s highly anticipated Mix Flip 2 is emerging closer to its launch, following its recent certification on China’s 3C database. Last year, Xiaomi introduced its first flip-style foldable phone alongside the Mix Fold 4, and it appears the next generation may be arriving sooner than initially expected. The 3C certification confirms that the Mix Flip 2 will support 67W wired charging, maintaining the same charging capacity as its predecessor. The timeline suggests that the Mix Flip 2’s appearance on the certification list could indicate an earlier unveiling.
The original Mix Flip received 3C approval in May and launched in July, which means Xiaomi may be poised to introduce its new device even sooner this time around. Anticipation is building around the features of the Mix Flip 2. It is reported to house a substantial 5,100mAh battery, a noticeable upgrade from the 4,780mAh battery found in the current Mix Flip model. It will also support both 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, which could give it an advantage in battery performance compared to competitors like the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Motorola Razr Plus (2025).
While the Z Flip 7 is expected to retain a 4,000mAh battery, the Razr Plus might increase its capacity to 4,500mAh. In terms of camera capabilities, the Mix Flip 2 is projected to retain a dual-camera setup on its back. However, changes may occur, replacing the original telephoto lens with a 50 MP ultrawide camera alongside a 50 MP main camera. While this modification may not appeal to all users, especially those who favor telephoto functionality for portraits and detailed shots, it may be a welcome change for those who enjoy capturing group photos or expansive landscapes.
