T-Mobile, which operates in the same area, countered AT&T’s claims, stating that they did not experience any service interruptions. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department confirmed that their operations encountered no significant disruptions during the outage. Captain Scott Safechuck, the department’s Public Information Officer, acknowledged the presence of long-standing dead zones in the region but stressed that these were unrelated to the recent service problems. He mentioned that satellite backups were in place to ensure reliable communication.
