Verizon Unveils Essential Security Solution for Users in Need of Protection

Posted on 12 March 2025

Verizon has recently introduced a new cybersecurity solution called Trusted Connection, which aims to address the growing demand for digital security among businesses. In a world where data breaches and scams frequently make headlines, this launch comes as a significant step forward for companies seeking better protection. Unlike traditional setups that merely create a digital perimeter, Trusted Connection focuses on securing connections and endpoints. This ensures that any device accessing a company’s web services, cloud applications, or private networks is safeguarded.

The rhythm of evolving cyber threats often overwhelms businesses, especially midsize companies that may lack the expertise or resources to implement robust security measures. Larger companies can also benefit, as Trusted Connection offers a more straightforward approach to managing cybersecurity, reducing the usual complexities associated with it. Trusted Connection features several key functionalities. It enhances cloud security by protecting access to websites, Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, and private networks with Security Service Edge (SSE) capabilities.

Moreover, it allows for better access control through customizable user and group permissions, ensuring sensitive data remains secure. It further establishes encrypted connections for a secure link between devices and digital resources, while also acting as an all-in-one solution combining networking and security services from a single provider. Kyle Malady, CEO of Verizon Business, emphasizes the importance of a strong cybersecurity structure, noting that if a digital perimeter is compromised, attackers can cause significant damage. With an intelligent monitoring system, Trusted Connection can detect unusual activity, send alerts, and provide insights into performance.

The urgency for effective cybersecurity solutions is underscored by the fact that a substantial portion of security breaches—77% of web app attacks and 31% of all breaches in the last decade—stem from stolen credentials, highlighting Trusted Connection’s relevance in today’s digital landscape.
