Significant changes in the global tablet market and the U.S. economy since 2023 have influenced the pricing expectations for Samsung’s upcoming Fan Edition tablets. The anticipated launch prices for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE Plus are likely to be higher than those of their predecessors, the Tab S9 FE models. This could be attributed to various enhancements and upgrades in the new models.
The expected pricing structure is as follows: the Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab S10 FE with 128GB storage and 8GB of RAM is projected to start at $499. An upgrade to the 256GB storage option with 12GB RAM is expected at $569. The Tab S10 FE Plus is anticipated to start at $649 for the Wi-Fi-only version with 128GB and 8GB RAM, and $749 for the 256GB storage variant with 12GB RAM, without 5G connectivity.
While these figures are not final, they come from a reputable source and fit within market trends. Samsung’s price adjustments are modest when considering that the prior Galaxy Tab S9 FE begins at roughly $449.99 but only includes 6GB of RAM. Although it is unlikely Samsung incurs a substantial cost increase for the added memory, a price increment of around $50 for such upgrades is fairly commonplace.
The Tab S10 FE Plus is also set to retain existing storage and RAM options but will see a price increase likely attributed to its larger 13.1-inch display. Competing against devices like the new 11-inch iPad Air, priced at $599, may challenge the sales appeal of the Tab S10 series. Beyond memory and screen size enhancements, upgrades from the Tab S9 FE lineup include a shift from the Exynos 1380 processor to the new Exynos 1580 chipset.
Further notable changes remain uncertain, though Samsung may still have surprises in store as the release date approaches.
