Oppo is known for its clever marketing strategies leading up to a phone launch, and its latest teaser takes a direct aim at the iPhone 16 Pro Max, particularly highlighting its bezels. The brand has officially confirmed the name of its upcoming flagship device: the Oppo Find X8s.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is already acclaimed for its ultra-thin bezels, which are even thinner than its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro Max. In response, Oppo has revealed details regarding the bezels of the Find X8s.
The teaser, shared by the Product Manager for the Find series on Weibo, emphasizes the uniformity and slimness of the bezels. Although the exact thickness of the bezels was not disclosed, Zhou Yibao hinted that they will be around 1.xx mm thick.
Rumors have suggested they could measure as little as 1.38mm, but this remains unconfirmed. Additionally, the teaser officially names the device the Oppo Find X8s, which will feature a 6.31-inch display, positioning it more as a compact phone in today’s market.
It remains uncertain whether the Oppo Find X8s will be available outside of China. Oppo’s distribution strategy can be unpredictable, leaving some powerful models, like the rumored Find X8 Ultra, restricted to the Chinese market despite their potential appeal abroad.
The Find X8s is expected to offer a 1.5K OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Potential processors include the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 or Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Furthermore, it may feature a robust 5,700mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a triple-camera system alongside a customizable button to replace the alert slider. As other brands continue to refine their designs, the bezels of the Find X8s stand out as a significant feature among the competition.
