New Rumor: Galaxy S25 Edge’s Ultra-Thin Design Boasts Superior Display Quality Beyond Expectations

Posted on 26 March 2025

Recent rumors surrounding the ultra-thin Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge suggest that it will feature a superior display than initially expected. A post by leaker Ice Universe indicates that the device will boast a 2K resolution display, typically characterized by a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, similar to what is found on the Galaxy S25+. Initially, there were concerns that the thin profile of the Galaxy S25 Edge could lead Samsung to opt for a lower FHD+ (1080+) resolution display. Such a choice would conserve battery life, as lower resolutions consume less power.

However, the information from Ice Universe suggests that Samsung markets the S25 Edge as capable of delivering all-day battery life while maintaining a 1440p display. This news is promising for potential users, especially since many smartphone owners often report an inability to distinguish between QHD and FHD resolutions. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to contain a titanium alloy mid-frame, similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Prior leaks have hinted at various color options, including Titanium Icy Blue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jet Black.

High-end specifications for the S25 Edge include the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 12GB of RAM. To maintain its slim design, Samsung may not include a dedicated telephoto camera in this model. Instead, the company will likely rely on computational photography techniques to compensate for this absence, as traditional telephoto lenses can increase bulk. Furthermore, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to have an IP68 rating, providing robust protection against dust and water.
