Motorola Razr Plus (2025) leaks reveal bold design choices that break from tradition.

Posted on 22 March 2025

Motorola is preparing to unveil its next-generation foldables with the Razr (2025) series, also known as the Razr 60 outside the United States. Recent leaks have revealed significant details about the standard Razr (2025), but there’s also buzz surrounding the high-end Razr Plus (2025). The latest leaks suggest that Motorola is taking bold design risks with this upcoming model. Initially, we caught glimpses of the Razr Plus (2025) in vibrant colors like sleek red and green.

However, a recent leak from noted leaker Evan Blass has shown an unexpected wood finish for the device. It remains unclear whether the back panel is crafted from genuine wood or if it simply features a textured material that replicates the look of wood. Regardless, this design option offers consumers a fresh alternative for their next flip phone, distinguishing it from other models on the market. While the overall design may not differ significantly from its predecessor, the Razr Plus (2025) is expected to maintain a familiar layout, featuring a 6.9-inch internal pOLED display and a 4-inch edge-to-edge cover screen.

Nevertheless, it appears that Motorola will upgrade this device with flagship capabilities, potentially integrating the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. If true, this would signify a substantial performance enhancement, putting the Razr Plus on par with top-tier smartphones. Additionally, the Razr Plus is anticipated to come equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and will likely run on Android 15, introducing new AI features. Timing may further benefit Motorola, with rumors suggesting a launch as early as April, preceding the expected July release of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7.

This strategic timing could give the Razr Plus a competitive edge. However, until official announcements are made, the details remain speculative.
