With the upcoming release of macOS Sequoia 15.4, Apple is enhancing its Mac inbox functionality, making it smarter than ever. The release candidate (RC) version is not a typical beta; it’s a nearly final build expected to deliver better stability and polish.
One standout feature in macOS Sequoia 15.4 is Mail Categorization. This update allows the Mail app to sort emails into specific categories such as transactions, updates, promotions, and primary.
This means users can easily locate important emails without wading through their inboxes. This feature will seem familiar to users of Gmail, which has employed a similar method for some time, highlighting its effectiveness in managing email clutter.
In addition to the new Mail features, the update introduces a range of exciting new emoji characters. For Apple News+ subscribers, there’s a delightful addition: a dedicated News+ Food section that includes recipes and articles about restaurants.
Other enhancements include a new Sketch style within the Image Playground, the capacity to create Memory Movies in the Photos app, as well as the expansion of Apple Intelligence to support additional languages. As Apple prepares to launch macOS Sequoia 15.4 in early April, the RC stands as the near-final version, provided no last-minute glitches arise.
It’s also expected that this update will coincide with the stable releases of iOS 18.4 and the latest version of iPadOS, both of which promise a plethora of new features centered around Apple’s intelligence advancements. However, these improvements may mostly benefit newer iPhone models, as older versions might not support the latest AI functionalities.
