Recent leaks have provided exciting insights into the anticipated upgrades of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the details, various sources hint at a significant redesign for this next iteration of the foldable phone. It is widely reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will come equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which promises to enhance its performance markedly.
One of the most notable camera upgrades includes a shift from the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s 50-megapixel main sensor to an impressive 200-megapixel primary camera in the Z Fold 7. The camera setup will retain its triple configuration, featuring an ultra-wide camera of 12 megapixels and a telephoto camera of 10 megapixels. While the other cameras remain unchanged, there are hopes that Samsung will refine the software or implement better sensor technology to improve overall image quality.
Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will incorporate a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the cover screen, unchanged from its predecessor. However, it remains uncertain whether the under-display camera (UDC) will see improvements in resolution beyond the current 4 megapixels. Interestingly, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, which features a 200-megapixel camera, was only available in South Korea and China, making it less relevant for the global market.
Consequently, the Z Fold 7 is poised to be Samsung’s first widely available foldable device with such an advanced camera system. The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July. Furthermore, Samsung is also reportedly developing a tri-fold smartphone, anticipated for release later this year.
