Apple has released the iOS 18.4 beta 4, which introduces important fixes while enhancing its Apple Intelligence features. This latest update comes a week after the previous beta version, reflecting Apple’s commitment to resolving issues before the stable release expected in early April.
Developers installing this new beta can anticipate several enhancements. Notably, Apple Intelligence has expanded its language support to include Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and localized English for users in India and Singapore.
Another improvement specifically for Apple Intelligence is the addition of the Sketch style in Image Playground, augmenting existing options for Animation and Illustrations. In addition to these AI advancements, iOS 18.4 beta 4 adds a Food section within the Apple News app.
This new feature allows subscribers to explore recipes, healthy eating tips, and restaurant recommendations. However, it should be noted that there are limited new features in this particular build.
The beta release also addresses several bugs from previous versions. For instance, it fixes a Wi-Fi Calling issue that affected U.S. Cellular customers and resolves a problem where Siri suggestions would occasionally fail to function properly in non-English languages.
Additionally, users will notice improvements to the scrolling behavior of Notifications, which previously experienced flickering and momentary collapsing. With the final iOS 18.4 version slated for April, there may be room for more adjustments in the next beta if Apple identifies any remaining issues.
As always, users are encouraged to stay updated on any further developments as the release date approaches.
